Not that SNES9x was that much better back then. You don't even need Higan/bsnes full accuracy, both the balanced and speed versions are faster than zsnes, and more accurate too.Įven 10 years ago I was switching between zsnes and SNES9x because there were too many instances where zsnes just wasn't working right in a good portion of the games I wanted to play. After that's over, you're left with a slow, inaccurate emulator. And after about 30 seconds of "hey that's pretty neat" I remember I saw the same thing 10+ years earlier (as in 1993/1994) on any number of demo scene presentations and the novelty wears off, never to be bothered with again. I guess the water drops/ripples and snow effects were a neat asm tech demo for zsnes, but I certainly wouldn't play a game with them turned on. r/SteamDeck /r/SteamInput /r/GyroGaming /r/SteamControllerMods /r/SteamControllerMusic /r/ControllerSupporters /r/Steam /r/Steam_Link /r/SteamBox /r/SteamHardware /r/SteamOS /r/Valve Filters (subreddit theme must be enabled) Discussion / Configuration: Off News / Meta: Off Support: Off Discussion / Configuration: Off News / Meta: Off Support: On Discussion / Configuration: Off News / Meta: On Support: Off Discussion / Configuration: Off News / Meta: On Support: On Discussion / Configuration: On News / Meta: Off Support: Off Discussion / Configuration: On News / Meta: Off Support: On Discussion / Configuration: On News / Meta: On Support: Off Discussion / Configuration: On News / Meta: On Support: On Meta - Posts regarding the subreddit itself.
